Update for 2019:

Unfortunately, there will not be a Haunted Puppy Town event this year. Check back next year!

Upcoming Benefit Events at Cascade Kennels

Fall is very suddenly upon us, which means some exciting things will be going on here at Cascade Kennels! Coming up in October and December we’ll be hosting our big community and fundraising events, Haunted Puppy Town and Santa Paws.

Haunted Puppy Town is a dog and people-friendly carnival; including games, a costume contest, prizes, food, our spooky Haunted Maze and interactive agility demos by Dogs In Progress. There will also be adoptable pets, and donations collected will benefit the rescue organizations involved. More details will come soon. The location will be our daycare facility on Saturday, October 31st, from 3 – 6pm.

Santa Paws is the place to get your Christmas pictures done, pets included!

Proceeds benefit Old Dog Haven. Pictures will be taken in our daycare on Saturday December 12th, prices and hours to be determined. Stay tuned!

Bring the whole family to both events! Each year we’ve raised over $1000 during both Haunted Puppy Town and Santa Paws. Let’s unite our community in the name of good times and great causes!

Employee Spotlight

You may recognize Brandy from the front desk, but she also works “behind-the-scenes” in our daycare and exercise departments. Brandy traded in the corporate life for a more personally fulfilling career path involving dogs several years ago. She’s previously taught group classes as a trainer, and been a daycare attendant at another local facility.employee sept.

Brandy is very sensitive to the dog’s needs, and is always trying to make them more comfortable in any way she can. Though she currently doesn’t have a dog of her own, she’s recently tried fostering rescue dogs. Boy, were those dogs spoiled! She was a great foster mom, but plans for her next dog to be hers forever. Her son, Ben, even thoughtfully gave her a birthday gift of a coupon that’s good for “any dog she wants to adopt.”

Tips from the Groomers

If your dog has long nails that you can’t seem to get shorter even if they’ve been clipped, a trim every 2 weeks or so will gradually work the quick back, making the overall nail shorter.

We do nail trims for $10, no appointment needed.
