Finley’s Christmas Wish List

Dear Santa,

I’d like to open this letter by saying that I promise not to eat your milk and cookies again this year. Mistakes were made, lessons learned, yadda yadda. Anywho, as I’m sure you know, I have been a very good girl. As such, I’ve put together a handy list for you so that you and your little elves can make my Christmas the best ever.

  1. You know how much I love socks, so can I please have my own stocking this year?? Maybe you could put stuff like squeaky toys, rawhides, and bones in it. And between you and me, I wouldn’t really mind a sweater, either. It’s getting cold, Santa!
  2. Could Mrs. Claws send my parents some recipes for treats to make? I love homemade treats. I know my parents are so busy right now, but maybe if they had some easy recipes they could even give their friend’s dogs treats as presents! I could even help out, you know, by doing quality control. I’ll taste test everything!
  3. Can I see the Christmas lights with my parents? I have no idea what that means exactly, but I know it involves a car ride, looking out the window, and being with my favorite humans. I can’t think of a better combination of things, so please convince my people to take me with this year.
  4. Please make it snow a lot, so I can play in it! Snow is the most exciting, fun, magical, greatest, bestest thing EVER! Last year my humans went sledding and I got to go too! I ran and ran and ran and when I got tired, I got to sit on the sled with my humans. It was like sticking my head out the car window, except without the car… or the window! WAHOO!
  5. Will you tell all the humans to put those big red Poinsettia flowers away or out of reach? I have a friend who got really sick from munching on one of them last year, and it ruined Christmas for everyone. I’m sure that you and your elves can get the word out. All I REALLY want for Christmas is for my friends to stay safe!

Sincerely yours,

Finley
