Hello All!
I’m Finley, the new Executive Canine Quality Control Officer here at Cascade Kennels. Unfortunately my job title won’t fit on my dog tag, but oh well, guess I’ll live. Any-who, I suppose I should tell you a little bit about who I am and what it is I do here!
I’m a year and a half old, and thanks to the wonderfully gender-neutral name my humans gave me, I should mention that I am a girl. I’m apparently small (I don’t feel like I am, but whatever!), and I’m told I’m some sort of Corgi mix. Given my awesome, wild, wiry hair and my spunky attitude I’m guessing there’s some kind of terrier in my blood too. Simply put, I’m amazing.
Before I came to work here at Cascade Kennels, I somehow found myself in a shelter in Texas. A very nice man saw me and knew I was special. Long story short, he bailed me out, and after a few months and a series of phone calls I made my way up here to Washington where my dear sweet parents were waiting for me. One of my humans, Chris, is the daycare supervisor at Cascade Kennels, so I started coming to work every day to help run things. I have been told I’m slightly bossy. I call that “management.” What did they do here without me!?
A few months after becoming part of the team here, I got my big promotion! As mentioned above, I am now the Executive Canine Quality Control Officer. I saw a real need to give a voice to the canine perspective, and I felt I was just the dog for the job. My qualifications are a-plenty — I board here, I come to daycare every day, I get groomed (usually not voluntarily), and most importantly… I’m a DOG!
I aim to keep every human out there more in-the-know about what’s on us dog’s minds. Keep an eye out for my upcoming articles where I’ll be updating you about all sorts of stuff, from what’s going on here at CK, to covering topics that have to do with me and my fellow canines, and fielding questions from doggie parents!
