Ickis was my best friend, sidekick, and bodyguard for ten years. I got him when I was sixteen years old, so he rode most of life’s biggest waves with me. He was a very busy Australian Cattle Dog, and the hefty responsibility of fulfilling his needs shaped my life and path in ways I will forever be grateful for. His hobbies included protecting me from all the dangers of the world, herding cats or sheep (whatever was available), playing with his beloved sisters, and climbing all over his dad whenever he sat down.
Ickis, you were the best boy. You were always by my side, and if you weren’t, you were probably just in the car waiting for me. I don’t know where I would be if you hadn’t come into my life. I miss you and think of you every day.
