” The greatest pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him, and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself, too.” -Samuel Butler

Dog-Friendly Shopping, Events and Restaurants near
Seattle, Washington

The holidays have come and gone. Our dogs were our faithful sidekicks more than ever through the peak of the season. Watching us wrap and unwrap endlessly,
kindly cleaning up any and all holiday fare that had fallen or been left unattended. They let it slide when you just couldn’t fit in a game of fetch between shopping trips and family
visits. Now that the madness is behind us, we’ve still got a stretch of winter left ahead.

‘Tis the season now of resolutions, but instead of vowing to take Rover on a 5k run every day, what can we realistically do to make it up to our patient companions for sticking by us? Why not take them out for a night on the town, or a day of shopping? By taking your dog with you to pet-friendly businesses, you can stay out of the rain and give him the stimulation and one-on-one time he needs with you. You could also plan a fun night out with your family or friends, and he won’t have to stay home. These businesses can be found everywhere on the Eastside and Seattle areas!

Before you hit the town, there are just a few things to remember. First and foremost, dogs and escalators do not mix! Keep Fido’s toes intact and take the stairs or elevators instead. Next, bear in mind that sadly, somehow, not everyone loves your dogs. So brush up on your sits, stays and downs before you go.
