Fall Activities For Dogs

Now that it’s Fall, we thought we would share some fun ideas of things to do with your dog this season. Here are our top seven fall activities for dogs that we think you, and your furry friend, will enjoy.

Have a photo session

A fun way to celebrate this fall is to set up a Halloween or autumn-themed doggie photo session. You can dress your dog up in a cute sweater, scarves with a few pumpkins, and leaves for decoration.

Dog-friendly pumpkin patch or corn maze

Find a dog-friendly pumpkin patch where your furry friend can help you pick out some pumpkins and you can navigate a corn maze together. There are usually fun events and snacks for you and your dog.

Dog-friendly bar crawl

Fall is the time of year that most brew festivals happen. You can find out which bars and events are pet-friendly and bring your dog along to enjoy the outdoors and the crisp fall air.

Enter your dog into a costume contest

One of the best things about having a dog is being able to dress them up. You can pick out a unique costume that fits your dog’s personality. Just remember to dress them up in something comfortable and breathable.

Enjoy a tailgate

Fall is the time of year that football fans are able to wear their favorite jersey, paint their faces and have a cookout. Bring your dog along for the fun. Don’t forget to put them in a jersey too!

Let your dog play in the leaves

Remember when you got to jump into a pile of leaves as a kid? Dogs love it too! Rake up the leaves into a pile in your yard and let your dog have the time of its life.

Take a hike

Now that the weather is cooling down for Fall, it’s the perfect time to take your dog on a hike. Go somewhere new and have fun exploring with your dog while you both enjoy the crisp fall air. Take advantage of the weather before winter hits and you’re stuck inside.

Fall only comes once a year for a brief few months between summer and winter. So take advantage of what the season has to offer for yourself and your furry best friend.
